Characters

A compact, low-growing ground-cover with tiny ovate or oblong leaves, no more than 1cm long. The stems are sprawling. The summer flowers are purple and terminal on the stem. Plants, when crushed, are highly fragrant. These are the plants which give us thyme, the culinary herb. Fragrance released when walked upon.
